Sometimes a friendship is forged that withstands time and all.  One year in our ward, a lifetime of memories.  Our good friends.

You can be yourself with a good friend....

Jeff and Elder McKay (spent the first 6 months of his mission in our ward).  Tie Swap!  I still think Jeff came out ahead on that one but Elder McKay would never say so!

Approximately 75 family members and friends came for Tyler's "farewell".  So blessed to have such overwhelming support!

Wow!  I miss Waterton!!  And incidentally, our great friends with whom we went to Red Rock Canyon three years ago.  Tyler was sporting red hair.  Why not?  Grad had come and gone.  School let out.  Bring on the summer!!!

Pant Burning!!!

Elder Tyler Martin burning his pants to mark his 18 months in the mission.  A little late, May 25 2010, but whatever!  (18 months was April 1)  He looks very happy to see them go!

Tyler is still serving in Hattiesburg, Mississippi where he is training his new companion, Elder Knight, as a zone leader. 

Release date or not?

We just received a letter from the mission office in Ridgeland Mississippi. Tyler's official release date is October 6, 2010.    I wonder what happens now though.  Tyler's Visa expires September 30, 2010.  Will keep you posted.
